3 celery stalks ***********************
1 (1/4-in) piece fresh ginger (opt)
3 kale or collard leaves *************
1 1/2 t fresh lemon juice **********
1/2 cucumber, sliced lengthwise ***
1 oz. parsley and/or cilantro ******
Juice the celery, kale, cucumber, parsley, cilantro, and ginger, if desired. Stir in the lemon juice. Alternatively, peel the lemon and put it through the juicer with the vegetables. Serve immediately. Variations: ***************************
For Sweet Green Juice: Add 1/2 apple, cut into chunks. ***********
For Antioxidant Juice: Add 1/2 cup broccoli florets and stalks, and/or 1/2 cup chopped green cabbage.
For Complete Meal Green Juice: After the juice is made, place it in a shaker or other cup with a lid. Add 1 tablespoon blue-green algae or green powder and 1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds. Shake well. A small, inexpensive coffee grinder will enable you to grind flaxseeds for your juice.
